Getting Started Toolkit

Your employees have enrolled in their health plans, but what comes next?

Research shows that less than two-thirds of new members have an excellent understanding of their plans*. Poor understanding can lead to unexpected surprises, such as delays in care, additional out-of-pocket costs, and more. That’s the purpose of this Getting Started Toolkit - to help your employees gain a better understanding of their health plans, right from the start.

The toolkit is organized into three phases:

  1. Before your plan begins
  2. When your plan begins
  3. One to three months into your plan

 

Each phase offers a variety of materials to help educate and engage employees on how to make smart and informed decisions when using their health plan.

The materials are designed to be shared in the way your employees like to receive information. This includes fliers for posting in breakrooms, videos for your intranet site, infographics to explain complex topics, quizzes to engage and emails that educate. Release information on a weekly basis or use the single email in each section that compiles multiple communications, and send monthly.
